1. Who runs this site

getjob4u ("getjob4u", "we", "us") is a free career toolkit for AI, ML, and Data Science job seekers, operated solo by Kuldeep Jeengar from India. You can reach us at kuldeepjeengar50@gmail.com or via the contact page.

2. The short version

• We do not sell your data. Ever.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads — both use cookies.
• If you upload a resume to any tool that accepts one — the ATS scanner, the Skill Gap Analyzer, or the Resume Generator's “upload an existing resume” step — we store the file so admins can audit submissions and improve the tools. We don't share it.
• If you submit the feedback form or generate a cold email, we store the form data so we can read and improve responses.
• Signing in with Google is entirely optional. If you do, we store your email, name, and profile photo, plus whatever My Prep data (bookmarks, streak, scan history, job applications) you choose to sync, so it can follow you to another device. Nothing on the site requires this.
• You can request deletion of anything personal by emailing us.

3. What we collect

3a. Information you give us directly

• Resume uploads: the resume file you upload (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), which tool you uploaded it to, the target role or pasted job description, and your optional name/email if you provide them. Three tools accept a resume: the ATS scanner, the Skill Gap Analyzer, and the Resume Generator's “upload an existing resume” step. In each case we store the file in our database so admins can review submissions and improve the tools.
• Cold email generator: the slot values you fill in (your name, role, skills, recipient details, company). We store the template key and target role for usage stats; we do not store the full message body.
• Feedback form: your name, email, star rating, category, and message — used to read your feedback and reply if relevant.
• Google sign-in (optional): if you choose to sign in, we store the email, name and profile photo Google provides, plus whatever My Prep data you sync from a browser (bookmarks, practice progress, streak, ATS scan history, job applications) — each stored as the same data already described for that feature elsewhere on this page, just also held on our server under your account so it can follow you to a second device. Signing out does not delete this; use "Reset all my data" on the My Prep page, or email us, to remove it.

3b. Information collected automatically

• Analytics: via Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EN17K7WRB1) — page views, clicks on tools and links, scroll depth, approximate location (country/city), device/browser, and referral source. This data is aggregated and pseudonymous.
• Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) kept short-term for abuse prevention and debugging.
• Account activity (only if you are signed in): because signing in attaches a name and email to your visit, we want to be explicit about what is then recorded against your account: each sign-in and sign-out (with the time, your device type, and your IP address shortened so it identifies a network rather than a household), which pages you opened, and how long you spent on each page — your browser reports the elapsed seconds when a page closes. We use this to understand which tools signed-in users actually return to. It is kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically, the same window as the anonymous visit logging above. If you are not signed in, none of this is attached to you: visits stay anonymous, and no page timings are collected at all.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 below.

4. How we use your data

• Operate the site and provide the tools you requested (scan your resume, analyse your skill gaps, build a resume, generate an email, submit feedback).
• Understand which pages and tools are used, so we can improve them.
• Show third-party advertising via Google AdSense (see Section 6).
• Detect abuse, fraud, or attempts to compromise the service.
• Reply to you if you contact us directly.

We do not use your data to train AI models, sell to data brokers, or send marketing emails.

5. Cookies and tracking

getjob4u uses cookies and similar storage for three purposes:

• Strictly necessary cookies — session state for the admin area, and, if you choose to use it, a session cookie for the optional "Sign in with Google" feature. The tools themselves never require login.
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and related cookies to count unique visits and measure engagement. Data is aggregated and held by Google according to their policies. Learn more: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
• Advertising cookies — see Section 6 (Google AdSense).

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling analytics or advertising cookies does not affect the tools themselves.

6. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

getjob4u uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-8170876893682596) to show ads. Per Google's policies, we must disclose the following:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this and other sites.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
• Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads to our users based on their visit to getjob4u and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of the DART cookie at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

7. Other third-party services we use

• Google Fonts — to load the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts.
• Google Analytics 4 — described above.
• Google AdSense — described above.
• Hosting / CDN — the site is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure; request data is processed by the hosting provider as required to serve the site.

Each provider's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, California CCPA / CPRA, India's DPDP Act 2023, or similar laws — including the right to:

• Know what personal data we have about you.
• Request a copy of that data.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already done).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email kuldeepjeengar50@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Data retention

• Resume uploads, feedback submissions, and email generator usage records are retained while the service is operational, or until you request deletion.
• Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention (currently 14 months for event-level data).
• Server logs are retained for a short window (typically under 90 days) for abuse prevention.
• Our own visit records — including the signed-in account activity described in Section 3b (sign-ins, sign-outs, pages opened, time per page) — are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• If you signed in, your account itself (email, name, profile photo) and anything you chose to sync are kept until you remove them with "Reset all my data" on the My Prep page, or ask us to delete them. Signing out does not delete them.

10. Children's privacy

getjob4u is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data — encrypted transit (HTTPS), restricted admin access, and minimal data collection. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International transfers

getjob4u is operated from India. By using the site, you understand that your data may be processed in India and in any country where our third-party providers (Google, hosting, etc.) operate, including the United States and the European Union.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or via an in-product notice.
