FAQ

Cover letter generator questions

Is the cover letter generator free?

Yes. It is free to use and needs no sign-up. AI requests are shared across the site's tools, so there is a fair-use limit that refreshes every few hours.

Will it invent experience I do not have?

No. The letter may only use facts that are in the resume text you paste. If the job description asks for something your text gives no evidence for, that requirement is left out and listed so you can see what was skipped.

How long is the letter?

Between 250 and 350 words. The short setting aims for the low end of that range and the standard setting for the middle. Use the shorter button to tighten it further.

What does the keywords matched panel show?

It lists keywords from the job description that actually appear in the letter. Each one is checked against both texts by the site, not just reported by the AI.

Is my resume stored?

No. Your text is sent to an AI provider to write the letter and is not saved on getjob4u's servers. Copy or download the letter before leaving the page, because it is not kept.

Should I edit the letter before sending it?

Yes. Read it as a draft: check every fact against your real experience, add the hiring manager's name if you know it, and replace [Your Name] with your own.
